HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Hyatt Regency Cincinnati

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati at a discounted rate of $169 per night. As this is the site of the wedding and reception, we encourage you to book here.

To book a room at the Hyatt Regency, please call Reservations at 513-579-1234 for the Parikh/Manoharan Wedding or click here: https://resweb.passkey.com/go/IMPWED

Please let us know if they inform you that the block has filled up. We have been told that they will allow us to reserve more rooms if they have them available.

As it is a holiday weekend and there are many activities going on in the city, we highly encourage you to reserve your rooms as soon as possible. Should you choose to not stay at the Hyatt Regency, there are many other hotels nearby within one or two blocks. However, pay attention to the reviews online as many of them are wonderful options, but some of the significantly less expensive options are at a reduced price for a reason.

EXPLORE OUR CITY

Transportation

The easiest way to get around downtown will be to walk or take a cab/Uber. You will notice there is track laid for our streetcar, but unfortunately it will not be operational until after the wedding.

Food

Explore some of our favorite places!

Over-the-Rhine

Over-the-Rhine (OTR) is a beautiful historic neighborhood just north of the Central Business District. It houses the largest collection of Italianate architecture in the United States and contains some of our favorite places to eat in town. All of the following places are on Vine St north of Central Parkway and have vegetarian options.

  • For some of the best fried chicken and comfort food, checkout The Eagle. You won't be disappointed.
  • Feeling like something spicy? Try the ghost pepper burger at Krueger's Tavern.
  • Like tacos? Try to grab a few different ones with an ice cold margarita at Bakersfield.
  • In the mood for pizza? Try A Tavola for some of the best craft pizzas around.
  • Gourmet hot dogs? Yeah, we've got that. Swing by Senate and be sure to try the fries!
  • Waffles? For breakfast or lunch, swing by Taste of Belgium and have the best waffles in the city. You can even wash it down with an authentic Belgian beer.

The Banks

A recent addition to downtown Cincinnati, the Banks is located in between Great American Ballpark and Paul Brown Stadium, right on the Ohio River. The Banks includes a collection of restaurants and bars that showcase local flavors and Cincinnati's sports teams.

  • If you are looking for a collection of local beer and food that emphasizes the city's German heritage, look no further than Christian Moerlein Lager House. Nestled next to Great American Ball Park and with sweeping views of the river and Northern Kentucky, Christian Moerlein is a great place to relax before or after a baseball game.
  • Planning on catching the Reds-Cardinals game? Check out the Holy Grail for a more rowdy time and sample the usual American bar food and drinks.

Cincinnati Favorites

No trip to Cincinnati would be complete without checking out a few of Cincinnati's famous foods.

  • Montgomery Inn is a ribs lover's paradise and there is one right downtown. You might need to catch a ride to get there, but when you do you will see why five US Presidents in the last 40 years has made a point to stop by.
  • Cincinnati chili sometimes gets a bad rap, but for those of us from here we wouldn't trade it for the world. Skyline Chili has multiple locations downtown, including one at Walnut and 7th. Don't worry if you don't know what to get, the staff will help you through the menu.
  • For desert, you should grab a scoop of ice cream from Greater's. With a few locations downtown (including one in OTR), Greater's is a must for people who love ice cream or anything sweet. Shwetha's favorite flavor is the Caramel Truffle Gelato. Pavan's is the Black Raspberry Chip. Try them both!

Entertainment

Come early or stay late and check out all our city has to offer

Welcome to the birthplace of professional baseball! The Cincinnati Red Stockings were the very first professional baseball team, established in 1881.

  • The Cincinnati Reds face the St. Louis Cardinals Friday and Saturday of the wedding weekend at Great American Ball Park. Come into town early and check out the divisional rivalry. Get tickets here.

The weekend of our wedding is also the weekend of the biggest festival in Cincinnati.

  • RIverfest kicks off Sunday morning down at Sawyer Point on the banks of the Ohio River. Stay tuned for details on the concert lineup associated with Riverfest. Try to swing by between the wedding and reception. It's a great time with a few hundred thousand of your closest friends, and best of all it's free!

Or maybe you want to catch a show while you are in town?

If you prefer more educational activities, Cincinnati is filled with opportunities to enrich your mind.

  • To learn more about the history of slavery in the United States and Cincinnati's role, take a visit to The Underground Railroad Freedom Center at the Banks. It will change your life.
  • Curious to learn about the local history, as well as the natural history of the region? Grab a ride to the Museum Center at Union Terminal.
  • Nestled above the city in Eden Park, the Cincinnati Art Museum features world-class exhibitions of art. Best of all? General admission is always free!
